Converting projects to cross-stitch designs is as limitless as our imaginations allow.
You are not bound only to using photographs. Photos are great for very personal projects, but
there's so much more out there waiting to be converted into the special, one of a kind design.
Cathy Arnold created this wonderful design based on an antique English wooden tile of a swallow.
On the "Scanning Photo for Design" page, there is an insert at the bottom showing cookie cutters. Originally this little idea was added to the page to spark some ways for people to scan various items and creatively "PLAY" with them in a photo editing program before converting them to cross-stitch designs.
So, the challenge is on...........send in your ideas to
and help inspire others.
If you feel intimidated by other forms other than photos, you are most welcome to download my Webshots photos
and create to your hearts content.
Happy Stitching

DMC has come up with a Soluable Canvas that dissolves in water after you have stitched your design.

This sounds like a great new development on waste canvas.
Have any of you tried this product?
